Anyway, I am currently having Advanced Medical Parasitology as one of my subjects for this semester and I say- What is so nice about worms? They are parasites and they are not even worth discussing on holidays. Give me a break! Actually, I know one fact worth posting in this blog about parasites- Schistosomiasis. Yes, Schistosomiasis! The one that may cause Appendicitis or even Rectal Perforation. What am I talking about?! Maybe I am just amazed of Schistosoma japonicum, one of the parasite that causes Schistosomiasis. Do you know that when the male and female parasites of S. japonicum copulate, they stay together then, die together while the male embracing the female? I hope people are also like that. They stay together not only because of Christmas or because they need to but by choice, such a thing is the greatest gift for a lifetime.
