BFAD to FDA

OMG...

I really feel bad about this! I always struggle and dream of a Filipino identity at least in my field but then again, shit happens!

I thought its Nancy Tacandong, the new FDA Director-General (not director as it was traditionally called) who thought of jeoperdizing the name BFAD to FDA but a good friend of mine who works for her and who is also my classmate at UST graduate school said that its part of the harmonization of the 10 ASEAN countries.

But I still prefer BFAD! BFAD stands for Bureau of Food and Drugs (the FDA of the Philippines) because we have our own identity and its cool to the ears. Hell with ASEAN! we can still comply even if we have a different name, right?

Nancy, I am proud of you when you became Director-General because we both came from SWU even if you graduated 5 decades ahead (kidding) and beacuse you are also "Bisaya" like me, we both came from Misamis Oriental and my family personally knows yours but I hope this is not a start of a copycat administration. Please make us proud by empowering more innovative ideas independent of the whites.
